Final Cut Pro 10.12 6
Last week, on Dec. 10, along with the release of the new Mac Pro, Apple updated Final Cut Pro X, Motion and Compressor. The changes all seem to be bug fixes and I don’t see a reason not to upgrade.
Prerelease Final Cut Pro 10.4.9 with prerelease plugins from RED Apple Workflow Installer v16, and Final Cut Pro 10.4.8 with plugins from RED Apple Workflow Installer v15 tested on macOS Catalina, using an 11-second project with REDCODE® RAW 4:1 video, at 8192x4320 resolution and 23.98 frames per second, transcoded to Apple ProRes 422.
Before upgrading, make sure your system is compatible here.

Bookmark the permalink.1) FCP 7 was discontinued nearly 6 years ago.
2) When it was discontinued, the OS at the time was 10.6.8. That is the LAST OS that officially supported FCP 7 and all the Studio apps
3) Every OS update that comes out goes further away from supporting FCP Studio. Apple isn't taking into account their functionality when releasing new OS versions, because they are now only supporting FCX and the new Motion and Compressor.
4) Motion and Compressor (and parts of Color) from Final Cut Studio 3 stopped working when 10.9 came out.
If you need Final Cut Studio to work and be fully functional, you need to run it on an older computer that supports 10.6.8. You might even get away with 10.7 or 10.8...but I know that apps break at 10.9.
Sorry man, this is what happens when software is discontinued.
