UniFi nanoHD Access Point The UniFi nanoHD is a compact 4x4 MU-MIMO 802.11ac Wave 2 dual-band access point with an aggregate radio rate of over 2 Gbps and supports over 200 concurrent users. Engineered to take advantage of 802.11ac Wave 2, the UniFi nanoHDprovides powerful multi-user support in an elegant, nano-sized design. The UAP-nanoHD features auto-sensing 802.3af PoE support and can be powered by any of the following: Ubiquiti UniFi Switch with PoE 802.3af PoE compliant switch Ubiquiti Gigabit PoE Adapter (48V, 0.3A). The Unifi nanohd AP can be powered by an 802.3af PoE compliant switch. We recommend powering your unified devices with a unified PoE switch (sold separately). DHCP server issues during AP adoption. If the UniFi Access Point (AP) continues with the default IP of 192.168.1.20, this indicates an issue DHCP server. To fix the issue: Make sure the AP is able to communicate with the router; Make sure the router leases a DHCP address to the AP; Ping the AP.

Locking Notch

The Locking Notch will be used with the Mounting Bracket to help secure the UniFi AP. (This is described further in the Mounting Bracket section.)

Reset

The Reset button serves two functions for the UniFi AP:

  • Restart Press and release the Reset button quickly.
  • Restore to Factory Default Settings Press and hold the Reset button for more than five seconds.

Ethernet

This Gigabit Ethernet port is used to connect the power and should be connected to the LAN and DHCP server.

Cable Feed Plug

If your Ethernet cable feeds along the mounting surface, remove the Cable Feed Plug.

Locking Tab

During installation, the Locking Tab on the Mounting Bracket moves from the Initial Position to the Final Position, where the Locking Tab fits securely into the Locking Notch on the UniFi AP to help prevent theft.

Note: If you need to remove the UniFi AP from the Mounting Bracket, insert a paper clip in the Slot to release the Locking Tab and turn the UniFi AP counterclockwise.

The device can be mounted on the wall or ceiling. Perform the steps for the appropriate installation.
