Position Summary

This newly-created role within WME Sports, a division of Endeavor, will build Endeavor’s strategic & tactical plans, go-to-market strategies and business team targeting properties around the world. Endeavor’s property representation business will identify business offerings and opportunities to serve and support sports and entertainment properties domestically and internationally. The role will personally lead new business development, including all sales, and manage Endeavor’s to-be-bolstered account, service and fulfillment teams for all property representation accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the re-launch, strategy, leadership, management, development and operation of our sports property representation business. Focus on sports properties around the globe—leagues, teams, federations, etc. Representation of properties around premiere sales assets (naming rights, kit deals, foundational partners, etc.) as well as exclusive external sales support.

  • Personally lead all new business development sales initiatives to acquire new property clients. This role calls for a hands-on “selling manager” who is actively engaged in creating and filling the sales funnel pipeline with new property representation prospects.

  • Serve as the hands-on leader and “face” for the Property Representation division in all areas of business development, client service and strategic vision creation. Build a short-term and long-term market penetration and growth plan for the division.

  • Open doors at the world’s top sports & entertainment properties and give full scope of Endeavor’s capabilities to key decision makers. Cultivate existing partnerships into wider deals that support multiple services within Endeavor.

  • Business development and strategic engagement across other Endeavor property representation teams including media advisory/consulting, brand strategy, content strategy, PR, analytics/valuation, venue programming and experiential.

  • Lead all sales work for WME’s sports talent clients, in addition to premium property sales work and naming rights across Endeavor.

  • Partner cross functionally with the Data & Analytics team and other divisions to cross-sell and ensure the Endeavor value-add is being properly sold at all levels and across all disciplines.

  • Utilizing the current internal culture of Endeavor and WME, build a high-energy, hard charging, results-driven internal culture predicated on high-end business development and sales.

  • Build and manage a high-performing team, leading by example and balancing working in the trenches alongside your staff with top-level strategic thinking. Hire, train, mentor, and develop a diverse team. Constantly emphasize and build bench strength.

Qualifications, Skills and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred; graduate degrees a plus.

  • 15+ years of experience leading high-level new business development, sponsorship sales, consulting sales, and/or overarching leadership within a relevant organization in the greater sports, entertainment and/or experiential space. Extensive and successful management experience.

  • Deep, long-standing contacts with decision-makers at sports & entertainment properties domestically & internationally, and history of long-standing business relationships across the entire landscape of the sports industry.

  • Respected credibility in the marketplace, with strong client development and negotiation skills.

  • Demonstrated success in prospecting, negotiating and closing deals or winning business; leading and managing a staff to do the same.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a team environment to build and lead an effective and high-performing team. Must be self-motivated/self-starter with the ability to multi-task successfully and operate within budgetary and timeline constraints.

  • Sales Skills: Very strong proficiency in the identification, penetration and on-boarding of new business accounts; attention to detail.

The CAA Internship Program offers current students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain relevant, hands-on work experience at a leading entertainment, media and sports agency. Interns work alongside seasoned agents and executives to support a variety of projects within their assigned departments.

Interns also participate in a regular speaker series, have the opportunity to build relationships with leaders from all CAA divisions, and attend workshops to help develop the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career.

  • Applicants must be able to work part-time at 20 hours per week
  • Applicants should have a graduation date of December 2021 – June 2022
